Dress (view 7) made with Simplicity Pattern 9334.
I used the thinnest t-shirt fabric because it needs something that drapes well or it will stick out unnaturally; the sleeves especially. This dress appears easy to make, but since you need to make it out of very thin knit material, it is tricky to machine sew the hems on the sleeves and the turned down area at the neck. I guess you could line it, but that would add bulk. I don't think I'd make this dress again any time soon, although it turned out cuter than I thought it would. It definitely needs a belt. As you can see from the images below, it hangs rather like a sack without a belt to define the waistline. I made a very simple belt by sewing small buttons on a piece of grosgrain ribbon, then adding snaps at the back.
